When can I start my course?
Courses start on a Monday all year round. Students arriving mid-week due to flight problems are allowed to join upon arrival.
How long does my course last
A booking can be made for a minimum of one week, and Private Tuition for a minimum of two sessions per day for one week. Obviously, the longer you stay, the more you will learn.
How do I know which course level to join?
We will send you a test by e-mail or fax and when this is returned we will know your level of English.
What can I do with my spare time?
The school offers a varied, but optional, programme of activities ranging from water sports to cultural excursions. Please refer to our sample programs.
How far away from school is am Language Studio’s accommodation?
All our accommodation alternatives are about 10-15 minute walk or bus ride away from school. During the high season, journey times can be slightly longer due to an increase in traffic.
How do I get from the airport to the accommodation?
Transport from and to the airport is offered on request. If you do not wish to book a transfer from the school you may catch a bus or take a taxi from outside the airport.
Can I book an English Course without Accommodation?
Yes
How will I find my way to school on the first day?
If you book a transfer with the school our driver will hand you a Welcome Pack upon meeting you at the airport. This will contain, amongst other things, a detailed map of the area.
What does Half Board (HB) and Full Board (FB) mean?
If you book half board you will be entitled to a continental breakfast and dinner, whereas full board includes a packed lunch as well.

How much is public transport in Malta? What is the cost of public transport in Malta?
Maltese buses are very reasonable with most trips costing around 0.50 Euro.
How much spending money should I bring with me?
What you would like to do and buy while in Malta will affect this a lot. If your Breakfast and Dinner are included you would, therefore, only need about 80Euro per week to cover a snack lunch, a few soft drinks, postcards, bus fares and evening entertainment. You will need more money if you enjoy eating in restaurants and plan to buy a lot of souvenirs.
Can I pay by Credit Card?
Yes but if you prefer to make a deposit this can be made either by credit card in Euro, or else by bank transfer direct to the school’s account no. as indicated on the booking confirmation.
Are credit cards accepted in Malta?
All major credit cards are accepted in most shops and restaurants in Malta. There are numerous ATM machines where you can make cash withdrawals.
Where can I change money?
In the arrival hall at the airport you will find an exchange office to obtain Euro and there are many others around the main tourist areas. All banks and exchange offices accept most currencies. If you wish further information please do not hesitate to contact us on info@amlanguage.com.
