Christmas is just 5 days away and here at am Language Studio we hope that everyone is getting together and having a blast! Last time we spoke about cultural events and traditions in Malta during Christmas time. One particular tradition that we seem to share with so many other parts of the world is the Family Lunch or Dinner!
The love of the grandparents, the hustle and bustle in the kitchen, the smell of glorious food permeating every room and the laughter of children playing with their newest toy. What a day!
In Malta, Xmas lunch is often a very British affair with strong Italian influences which is reflective of our culture and history. In my family we normally get a starter, light vegetable soup, lasagne, turkey with veg, potatoes and gravy and finally a glorious Xmas log fills our day and stomach to bursting!
Our final message is one of hope and love. As we say goodbye to 2017 we would like to wish all our students, staff, partners and everyone else a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to you and all your loved ones!!
